Grand Opening Sale!

Mariah Smith

We are so excited to announce that the Gatherware online store is officially open for business!

Over the last few weeks, I have been filled with so much anticipation for this day. Our inventory is stocked full and we are SO ready to share our Gatherware 01 Bowls with the world.

As a special gift to celebrate our grand opening, the prices on all our items are going to be reduced until the end of the week. YAY!

Thank you to all the friends and family who helped make this a possibility.

To my fiancé, thank you for carrying so many boxes of bowls up the flights of my apartment stairs. You're a babe.

To my roommate, thank you for living with all my late night, bowl painting craziness!!

Love you all!

We are so excited to announce that our Gatherware 01 bowls are now available at The Golden Rule in Excelsior, MN! This shop is beyond amazing and we couldn't be more ecstatic to see these little bowls stocked on the shelves.

Walking into the store is an experience in itself. The owner, Erin Kate Duininck, has curated a beautiful collection of small goods, art and jewelry that will leave a strong impression on anyone who loves handmade products. We can't get enough of this place!

Roasted Veggies

Mariah Smith

In Minneosta, it's been freakishly cold for the last few weeks. We put this recipe together to make a small attempt at staying warm! This is one of those meals that could easily become a staple throughout the chilly, winter months. Enjoy!

  • 1 pound brussel sprouts
  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 2 gloves garlic, smashed
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • Fresh thyme

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  2. Chop sweet potatoes into 1 inch pieces, add to large bowl with brussels
  3. Smash garlic and add to bowl
  4. Pour 1/3 olive oil over veggies
  5. Add cumin, garlic salt and salt to the bowl. Stir to mix.
  6. Add olive oil to your pan, spreading evenly across surface.
  7. Add veggies to pan. Cook for 35-40 minuets!
  8. After cooking, garnish veggies with fresh thyme.
  9. Serve!

I served our veggies on top of quinoa but this is totally optional. The three of us definitely had stuffed bellies by the end of this meal!

Introducing Gatherware

Mariah Smith

Hello friends!

Today I am beyond excited to announce my very first collection of tabletop goods, Gatherware 01!

Gatherware was birthed out of simple thought: what is it about the dinner table that draws us together?

Obviously, some really basic answers come to mind. Family, friends, food, holidays.

I'd like to tell you I have a really profound answer to this question. But I don't.

I decided that I liked gathering around tables, so I wanted to make a product that could contribute to that somehow. Ta dahhh!

So there you have it.

Our first collection drops Monday, February 1st. Stay tuned for details!

Why Olive Wood?

Mariah Smith

Olive Wood Mortar & Pestle

Famous for it's durability and beauty, olive wood has quickly become one of my favorite choices for kitchen utensils. Rich with bold contrasting colors, smooth grains and edges. This is the kind of wood that maintains it's quality and becomes more resilient over time and use.

Since the wood is nonporous, it won't retain any stains, odors or germs. And since the grains inside of the wood are so tight, you won't have the frayed edges that can happen when using cheaper wood products.

It's recommended to season your new olive wood products a warm mineral oil. This will keep the product moisturized and protected for the many years ahead. Always remember to hand wash!

What are your favorite olive wood products? Here are a few of mine!
